Elkin offers a wide range of facilities and services: 

• Town Hall  (Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday) 
• Police Dept, also located at the Town Hall  (Hours: Open 24 hours)
• Public Works Dept 
• Fire Dept 
• Municipal Airport
• Public Library  (Hours: Open every day except Sunday)
• Recreation Center, parks, and park shelters, plus sports programs, swimming & tennis courts. 
• Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority (partnership)
• Elkin Tourism Development Authority & ED Department
• Trails System and partnerships with  NC MST, OVT and EVTA trail organizations. 
• Farmers Market Shelter (Farmers Market open April - October, every Saturday from 9 am to noon). The shelter is also available to rent for event space.   
• Richard Gwyn Museum (139 Church St) - The DAR manages the museum for the Town of Elkin. 

  Plans are to open the Museum the second Sunday every month from 2pm -5pm. Starting  Sunday September 13, 2020. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available for visitors.
